Your model, checked before it reaches site
This is not a BIM authoring tool, and it does not do clash detection. You design somewhere else and export IFC. What happens here is what comes after: the applicable Bbl rules run against that IFC before anyone builds it, and every finding raised on site comes back pinned to a point on your model, with photos. Your drawing stops disappearing the moment it leaves your desk.
The first you hear of it is a phone call
Someone on site calls on a Tuesday. There is a problem with a detail near the stairwell, second floor, or maybe third, and the shaft is too tight for the duct. You ask which one. They send a photo of a wall. By the time you work out what you are looking at, the sub has already improvised something and moved on. Meanwhile a code issue that a machine could have read straight out of your IFC gets found by a person, weeks later, when changing it costs real money. Your model was right. Nobody could check it, and nobody could point at it.
Checked before the build, answered from site
- Upload your IFC export and the applicable Bbl rules run against it, with each result pointing back at the elements it checked.
- Findings raised on site land on your model at the exact point, with photos of what is actually there, so you see the condition without driving out.

Frequently asked questions
- Does this replace my BIM authoring tool?
- No, you keep drawing in Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla or whatever you use, and export IFC from it. There is no authoring, no clash detection and no design coordination here. The work starts once the model is done.
- How complete are the automated Bbl checks?
- They read the applicable Bbl rules that can be derived from your model geometry and properties. A share of the rules cannot be automated at all and stays a human judgement. The rules engine is Dutch Bbl only, other countries are not in it.
- What does a good IFC export need?
- Classified elements, filled property sets and storeys that match the real building. Both the checks and the anchoring read that structure, so a thin export gives thin answers. It still opens in the viewer, it just tells you less.
